سياسة الخصوصية — تلاميذ

Privacy Policy — بن أحمد للتعليم · تلاميذ (the student application)

Last updated 16 September 2026.

This policy covers one Android application: بن أحمد للتعليم · تلاميذ, shown as تلاميذ on the phone, package education.benahmed.student. It is the complete account of what that application collects. It does not cover our website or our other applications, which each have their own policy:

Lessons and exercise statements can be read without an account. An account is needed only to unlock exercise solutions and keep your stars.

What the application collects

  • Your Google account’s email address and display name, received from Google when you sign in, if you choose to create an account. We ask Google for nothing else — not your contacts, your calendar, your files, or your photos.
  • The school level and stream you choose, so that we can show you the right curriculum. This is stored on your device before you have an account, and copied to your account if you create one.
  • Your star balance and the record of how it changed — stars granted, and stars spent unlocking solutions.
  • Which exercise solutions you have unlocked, so that they stay available to you and follow you to a new phone.
  • A device identifier — the identifier Android already provides to this application on your phone. It is used to grant the one-time welcome gift of 50 stars once per handset, and as the key for the usage measurement described below. It is not the advertising identifier, and it is not used for advertising or shared.
  • Usage measurement, described in its own section below.

What the application does not collect

The application does not request your location, your contacts, your photos, your files, your microphone or your camera. We do not sell any of the information above, share it with anyone, or use it for advertising. Two features of the application do reach another company, and each is described next: lesson videos, which play from YouTube, and advertisements, which you only see if you choose to watch one.

Lesson videos

Some lessons contain a video. When you open such a lesson while connected to the internet, the application loads the video’s preview image from YouTube. When you tap the video, it plays inside the application from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, at youtube-nocookie.com.

Like any website that serves an image or a video, YouTube receives your IP address and basic information about your device and the player, and it records the playback. The application does not sign you in to YouTube and sends YouTube nothing about you or your account. What YouTube, which is part of Google, does with this is governed by Google’s privacy policy. If you do not tap a video, nothing is played; offline, not even the preview image is loaded.

Advertisements you choose to watch

When you do not have enough stars to open a solution, the application may offer you a short advertisement in exchange for a star. Watching one is always your choice: the application requests an advertisement only when you press شاهد إعلانًا, and shows none anywhere else. Every part of the application works without ever watching one.

The advertisements are provided by Google AdMob. When you ask for one, Google’s advertising software inside the application collects, for Google, what it needs to deliver the advertisement, measure it and prevent fraud: the Android advertising identifier, your IP address, information about your device and the application, and how you interacted with the advertisement. We ask Google for non-personalised advertisements only, so Google does not choose them from your past activity, and we limit them to content rated for parental guidance (PG) or below. Google may still use the advertising identifier for purposes such as limiting how often you see the same advertisement, preventing fraud and aggregated reporting. What Google does with this information is governed by Google’s policy for apps that use its services.

So that Google’s server can tell ours which account earned the star, the request also carries your account’s internal identifier — a random string that means nothing outside our database. It does not include your name or your email address. The star is granted only when Google confirms that the advertisement was watched to the end, and only up to a daily limit.

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time in your phone’s Google settings, under Ads. Deleting your account with us does not delete what Google collected when you watched an advertisement; Google holds that under its own policy.

Usage measurement

We measure how the application is used, so that we can tell whether the material we publish is actually being read. This measurement is ours: no analytics company is involved, and it is not used for advertising or shared with or sold to anyone.

Before you have an account, and without identifying you personally, we record against the device identifier: the school level and stream you chose, how many lessons and exercises you opened, the dates and times you used the application, and the application’s version. If you installed the application by following a link on our website, we also record which website visit the link came from, so that we can tell whether the website leads anyone to the application, and the application opens the exercise you were looking at.

If you sign in, that record is linked to your account, so that we can tell how many people who install the application go on to create one. While you are signed in we also record which phones your account is used on and when, to detect a single account being shared across many phones.

We do not record your IP address, your location, or which lessons or exercises you opened — only how many. Records of phones your account is used on are deleted with your account. The anonymous record is not deleted with your account but is unlinked from it, and a record that was never linked to an account is deleted after 400 days without use. Because the device identifier belongs to your phone, clearing the application’s data does not reset it; to have these records removed, contact us.

How we use this information

  • To provide the application, and keep your stars and unlocked solutions with your account
  • To grant the welcome gift once per handset, and to prevent fraud
  • To understand whether the material we publish is read, as described above
  • To communicate with you about your account, such as a deletion request. Nothing the application collects is used to send you marketing

Who processes it

Google handles sign-in, and — only if you choose to watch one — provides advertisements through AdMob. Signing in does not tell Google what you read or unlock in the application. YouTube, part of Google, serves lesson videos as described above. Supabase hosts the database in which the above is stored, on our behalf. The application contains no payment feature and never sends anything to a payment processor.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the application at any time: open الإعدادات, and choose حذف الحساب نهائيًا under الحساب. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need to explain why. If you would rather not use the application, or have already uninstalled it, you can do the same deletion yourself at benahmed.education/student/delete-account by signing in there with the same Google account.

Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes your email address, your name, your chosen level and stream, your star balance and its history, the record of every solution you unlocked, and the record of the phones your account was used on. This cannot be undone, and stars are not refundable.

Four things are deliberately kept, and only these four:

  • Records of payments you made, because they are accounting records of money that changed hands and we are required to keep them. They are kept detached from your name and email address, which are erased with the rest of your account.
  • A one-way cryptographic hash of the device identifier, if that handset has already received the one-time welcome gift. The original identifier is erased; the hash cannot be converted back into it, and is not linked to you. Without this, deleting an account would be a way to claim the gift repeatedly, and we would have to stop offering it.
  • The anonymous usage record described above, unlinked from your account.
  • School records, if your account belongs to a school that uses our school application — attendance, marks, and the record of who entered them. These belong to the school rather than to us, and the school is required to keep them. In this case your personal details are erased and your account can never be signed into again, but the rows the school’s register points at remain.

Children’s information

An account requires you to be 13 or older. We publish material for middle-school levels as well as secondary ones, and lessons and exercise statements can be read without an account and without giving us anything at all — but creating an account in the application is for students aged 13 and over. A younger student should use a parent’s or guardian’s account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe your child has created an account, write to us at support@benahmed.education and we will delete it, and everything attached to it, without asking you to prove anything beyond your connection to the child.

We encourage parents and guardians to take an interest in what their children do online, here and everywhere else.
